Greg started his career in his hometown, Detroit, in 1982 - playing, writing and recording in the vibrant punk rock scene. He moved to New York in 1987 in the thick of the Hip Hop movement, and then to the recording mecca of Los Angeles in 2004. In 2015 he relocated to Pittsburgh, to focus on producing and mixing in his newly established Wood Hollow studio.
Greg Gordon has produced, engineered and mixed a wide spectrum of classic ‘big beat’ groups and artists of every genre. His discography reads like a three decade history of cutting edge music. Embracing all types of passionate sonic expression, Greg thrives on using his knowledge of music and recording techniques to build a foundation of traditional integrity, and cross-pollinate elements to introduce unexpected ear-opening events.
